PM Modi attends BJP Parliamentary party meet; Freedom fighter's wife burnt alive in Manipur; more

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at the Parliament om Tuesday morning around 9.30 am for the BJP Parliamentary party meeting.

In Kakching district's Serou village, the 80-year-old wife of a freedom fighter was locked inside her house and set on fire by an armed group. Her husband, S Churachand Singh, who died at 80, was a freedom fighter who was honoured by former President APJ Abdul Kalam. The incident took place in the early hours of May 28, when places like Serou saw massive violence and exchange of gunfire.
