HD Kumaraswamy slams Ajay Devgn over Hindi language row, calls him 'mouthpiece for BJP's Hindi nationalism'

The debate between Ajay Devgn and Kiccha Sudeep over Hindi as the national language has now taken a political turn. Former Chief Minister of Karnataka HD Kumaraswamy has slammed actor Ajay Devgn for his "ludicrous behaviour". He also accused the actor of acting as the BJP's mouthpiece for Hindi nationalism.

Backing Kiccha Sudeep, HD Kumaraswamy tweeted “Ajaya Devgan’s blabbered as a mouth piece of BJP’s Hindi Nationalism of one nation, one tax, one language & one government."

The controversy started when Kiccha Sudeep said in an interview that “Hindi is no more a national language.” After this, Ajay Devgn tweeted that "Hindi was, is and always will be our mother tongue and national language."
