The United States has charged Vikash Yadav, a former officer of India's Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), for allegedly orchestrating a failed plot to assassinate Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, who resides in New York City.
The US Justice Department has filed charges against Yadav for murder-for-hire and money laundering in connection to the plot. US Attorney General Merrick B. Garland stated, "Todayâs charges demonstrate that the Justice Department will not tolerate attempts to target and endanger Americans and to undermine the rights to which every US citizen is entitled."
