The Enforcement Directorate has arrested Rajesh Joshi of Chariot Advertising, who received the kickbacks generated in the Delhi excise policy case, during the Goa polls. The central probe agency in its chargesheet had claimed that Rs 100 crore kickbacks generated in the scrapped Delhi excise policy were used in the Goa Assembly election campaign of the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party in 2022.
In other news, the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad, in a 1,113-page chargesheet, claimed that Popular Front of India (PFI) members wanted to bring Islamic rule to India by 2047.
ATS has claimed to have recovered a seven-page booklet titled: India 2047, Towards Rule of Islam in India, from the Vikhroli residence of Mazhar Mansoor Khan which speaks of turning India into an "Islamic-ruled state." This booklet was allegedly given out to those who were recruited by PFI.
