Bihar election dates announcement; Political parties gear up for fierce contest

The Election Commission of India is set to announce the schedule for the 18th Bihar Assembly elections today at 4 PM. All 243 seats, including 38 reserved for SCs and 2 for STs, will go to polls before the current Assembly’s term ends on November 22, 2025. The ruling JD(U)-BJP alliance is expected to face stiff competition from the opposition Mahagathbandhan, led by the RJD and Congress.
