Muslim clerics take to Kolkata streets, protest against Mamata's Puja sop

Imams in Kolkata came out in streets to stage their protest against the Mamata Banerjee led government.

The All Bengal Minority Youth Federation, a body comprising Muslim clerics and scholars from across West Bengal, on Wednesday demanded an aid of Rs 2 lakh each to all the madrasas on the line of fund provided by the state government to the local clubs. They also sought a hike in the stipend of Imams from Rs 2,500 they are getting at present.
