Police on Tuesday raided residences of activists across five states. As many as five activists were arrested by the police over their alleged links to Maoists.
The lawyers, activists and journalist have been accused of having links to the plot to assassinate Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The five activists - P Varavara Rao, Gautam Navlakha, Sudha Bhardwaj, Arun Ferreira and Vernon Gonsalves - have been termed urban naxals by the police.
The activists were arrested from New Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand.
