Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday launched a fresh attack on Congress, citing a decade-old video of Rahul Gandhi purportedly supporting reservations for Muslims. PM Modi repeated the allegation that Congress gave the reservation quota under OBCs to Muslims and alleged they want to steal SC, ST reservations and give them to Muslims nationwide if they come to power.
Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge hit back at PM Modi, saying that PM Modi should quit public life for indulging in Hindu-Muslim rhetoric. Kharge also alleged that PM Modi's intentions are not clean, accusing him of giving daily "hate speeches" with Hindu-Muslim rhetoric during the poll campaign and of polarising the electorate.
As the Muslim quota war escalates with the Lok Sabha polls entering the final stage, this episode of India First discusses whether there is merit in PM Modi's attack or if it is an attempt to polarise.
