Priyanka Gandhi files nomination from Wayanad, takes political plunge 

Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi on Wednesday marked her electoral debut by signing her nomination papers for the upcoming Lok Sabha bypoll in Kerala's Wayanad.

She is the third woman from the Gandhi lineage to enter active politics, after her grandmother and former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, and her mother, Sonia Gandhi.
