Around 100 JNU students, including students union president Aishe Ghosh, were detained and some were injured after police allegedly lathicharged protestors on Monday.

In the morning, a large number of students gathered at JNU to march towards Parliament on the first day of Winter Session on Monday demanding a total rollback of the hostel fee hike, even though they had been persuaded by the Delhi Police not to do so.
