As the Congress-JDS coalition govt collapsed on Tuesday, we track the history of failed coalitions in Karnataka in this episode of In Depth.

The first coalition govt in Karnataka was formed in 1983 when Janata Party, BJP, Left and few Independent MLAs came together to form a govt. But the govt collapsed within two year after few MLAs cried.

Then in 2004, the second coalition govt was formed in the state as Congress and JDS joined hands. But, this time too, the govt collapsed in less than two years.
