Heavy downpour in north India: A ground report

The flood situation in Uttar Pradesh continues to disrupt normal life as most rivers have swelled up due to heavy rains in North India. At least 12 people have died in rain-related incidents in the state in the past 24 hours.

The government has issued a flood alert across the state till Thursday (September 6).
