In response, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has convened a high-level meeting to plan support measures for small farmers, MSMEs, and export-driven sectors likely to be hit. Modi reassured entrepreneurs that the government stands firmly with them, vowing to âfind a way out despite Washingtonâs economic pressure.â The talks also flagged what officials called the USâs âduplicity of policy,â pointing to Washingtonâs growing trade with Russia and tariff relief for China, even as India faces harsher duties.
