Travel curbs tightened as coronavirus cases rise in India; Ex-CJI Ranjan Gogoi nominated to Rajya Sabha; more

The Indian government imposed fresh travel restrictions, prohibiting entry of passengers from the EU countries and the UK from March 18 amid rise in coronavirus cases in the country.

The Union health ministry said fresh coronavirus cases were reported from Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Kerala.

Meanwhile, former Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi has been nominated to Rajya Sabha.
