Nehru Museum in Delhi renamed; Bittu Bajrangi arrested in connection with Nuh violence; more

The Nehru Memorial Museum and Library (NMML) has officially been renamed as the Prime Ministers' Museum and Library Society, Nripendra Misra, chairperson of the executive council of the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library (NMML) told India Today. The name has been formalised on India’s 77th Independence Day. The vice-chairman of the Prime Ministers' Museum and Library's executive council also posted the update on 'X', formerly Twitter.

Bittu Bajrangi, a self-proclaimed cow vigilante known for his divisive remarks, has been arrested in connection with Nuh violence in Haryana that occurred during a procession organised by a Hindu outfit. On August 1, a first information report (FIR) was registered against Bittu Bajrangi over a viral video where he was seen in saffron attire with a song with threatening lyrics playing in the background. One of the complainants was Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Usha, who alleged that Bittu Bajrangi misbehaved with her after she tried to stop from heading to the Yatra. He also, as per the officer, sat on her vehicle's bonnet.
