I-T heat on Taapsee Panu; West Bengal polls: TMC plans to announce list of 294 candidates; more

The Income Tax Department raided the home and office of Bollywood actor Taapsee Pannu in a tax evasion case.

The I-T department also raided the office and home of filmmaker Anurag Kashyap as well as his partners who launched the now shuttered production house Phantom Films. The searches, part of a tax evasion probe against Phantom Films and carried out across 30 locations in Mumbai and Pune, also covered Reliance Entertainment group CEO Shibhasish Sarkar and some executives of celebrity and talent management companies KWAN and Exceed.

Meanwhile, Trinamool Congress is likely to release its full list of candidates for the upcoming Assembly election in West Bengal. The party is likely to announce the entire list of 294 candidates on Friday.
