Market expert Sharmila Joshi believes Indian markets have shown impressive resilience despite repeated global and domestic challenges over the past few months. She said the markets have reacted to bad news but continue to recover quickly, helped by improving earnings and signs of sector-wise recovery. According to her, many indicators now point to a stronger second half for companies.
On Zomato, Joshi noted that the companyâs revenue remains strong even though profitability has taken a hit due to factors such as Blinkitâs operations. She said investors seem willing to look beyond valuations for now, as new-age businesses have shown promise in recent months.
While she does not see it as the ideal time to buy the stock due to high valuations, she believes Zomatoâs expanding market share and revenue growth offer long-term potential. She suggested starting with a small SIP and staying invested for a few years.
Speaking on quick commerce, Joshi described it as a fast-growing market driven by changing consumer habits in groceries and dining. She said investors are betting on its long-term scale as companies refine their strategies.
Commenting on Ola Electricâs expansion plans, Joshi said the company appears to be recovering from earlier setbacks. She feels the electric two-wheeler space has strong demand beyond metros, and Olaâs new products could fill critical gaps, especially in areas facing power supply issues.
