Ahead of the assembly elections in West Bengal next year, a fresh war of words has erupted between TMC and BJP over state BJP chief Dilip Ghosh remarks that the party will emulate Gujarat's growth model to develop the state if voted to power.

Meanwhile, the ruling TMC has reacted strongly. Hitting out at BJP, Bengal minister and Kolkata Mayor Firhad Hakim said that they do not want to follow Gujarat model which is known for encounters like that of Ishrat Jehan.

And in Karnataka, Kannada pride war erupts over Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar's call for including Belgaum in Maharashtra.
