Union Minister Smriti Irani lashed out at Congress leader Ajay Rai for his 'latke-jhatke' jibe at her. Smriti Irani even slammed the Congress and added that the real character of Gandhis is out in the open. Meanwhile, an FIR has been filed against Ajay Rai.

The Uttar Pradesh Congress leader on Monday took a jibe at Smriti Irani in Sonbhadra, stating she only comes to her constituency Amethi to show "latkas" and "jhatkas", an unflattering reference to dance moves that provoked a sharp response from the BJP.

And ahead of the assembly elections next year, cracks have emerged in the Karnataka BJP. BJP leaders KS Eshwarappa and Ramesh Jarkiholi skipped the assembly session demanding minister posts in the Bommai cabinet.
