New coronavirus strain emerges in UK: Is India prepared?

Amid the alarming spread of new Covid strain cases in the UK, India has banned all flights from the United Kingdom to check the spread of more infectious coronavirus strain in the country. The air travel ban will stay till 23:59 pm on December 31. The suspension of all UK flights will begin from 23:59 pm on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan has said the central government is on alert about the new coronavirus strain in the United Kingdom. Harsh Vardhan also asserted that there was no need to panic on the discovery of the new strain of coronavirus in the UK.
