Exit poll majority for NDA causes anxiety in Opposition ranks

The Opposition criticised the exit polls on Sunday that predicted a clear second term for the BJP-led NDA government.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee dismissed the exit polls terming it as merely a “gossip”, while the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that the exit polls never tally with the election results. Chandrababu Naidu also planned to stage a protest in front of the Election Commission office on Monday.
