Days after India Today's investigation exposed how PUC centres were issuing pollution certificates without checking or even to polluting vehicles in exchange for money, the Delhi government has initiated a major crackdown. It has suspended 28 Pollution Under Control (PUC) centres and blacklisted four for issuing fake certificates. Over 100 polluting diesel buses have also been impounded.  The Delhi Transport Department has also alerted its counterparts in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh about the widespread PUC scam, highlighting the far-reaching impact of the investigation.

The petitioner, Advocate Kapil Madan, argues against the high tax on air purifiers, stating, 'the Levi of 18% of air purifier appears to be illegal in my understanding.'
