BJP workers erupt in joy as party set to win Gujarat, poised to take power in Himachal

BJP workers celebrate party's good show in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh elections. In PM Modi's home state, it's no more neck-and-neck, with BJP set to retain the state for the sixth straight term.

The BJP candidates have forged ahead of the Congress in 106 of the 182 Assembly seats, 14 more than the half-way mark needed to control the House.

While in Himachal Pradesh, the BJP is close to the half-way mark by leading at 34 seats, while the ruling Congress is leading at 20.
