No intention of demeaning PM Modi: Shashi Tharoor on his 'chaiwala' jibe

Congress leader Shashi Tharoor today clarified his chaiwala remarks which he made on the eve of Nehru's birthday. He said he didn't mean to demean PM Modi and added that today if a chaiwala is a prime minister, it is because Nehru ji.

Yesterday, Tharoor had said, "If today we have a chaiwala as prime minister, it is because Nehru ji made it possible to create the institutional structures through which any Indian can aspire to rise to the highest office in the land."
