Why Did Supporters of Donald Trump Storm The US Capitol

An armed and angry mob of Donald Trump’s supporters stormed the US Capitol building and clashed with the police just as Congress convened to validate Joe Biden’s presidential win. A woman along with three others were shot in the violence that ensued as Trump protestors breached barricades. The protestors smashed windows and brawled with police officers. The Capitol in Washington DC was placed under lockdown after hundreds of Trump supporters stormed the historic building and wreaked havoc. Following the confrontation, Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser called for public emergency order until January 21, that is, the day after President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration. Trump has been in denial that he lost the US Elections 2020 to Joe Biden and has been claiming that the election was nothing but fraud by the Democrats. In fact, a week after losing the US election, President Donald Trump remained shut up in the White House and pushed an alternate reality that he is about to win.
