Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek Singhvi richest MPs, 36% candidates' criminal cases

Jaya Amitabh Bachchan from Samajwadi Party with assets worth Rs 1,578 crore, Abhishek Manu Singhvi from Congress with Rs 1,872 crore assets, Kupendra Reddy from JD(S) with Rs 871 crore assets are the three wealthiest nominees for Rajya Sabha. Among the poorest are BJP’s Balyogi Umesh Nath with Rs 47 lakh, BJP’s  Samik Bhattacharya with Rs 1 crore, BJP's Sangita with assets worth Rs 1 crore. Also, an analysis of 58 out of the 59 candidates by ADR revealed that about 36% Rajya Sabha candidates declared criminal cases against themselves.
