Rajasthan Crisis: Ashok Gehlot Apologises But Gandhis Upset

High drama unfolded in Rajasthan on Sunday night after 82 MLAs loyal to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot resigned from the state assembly. The MLAs are opposed to appointing a new Rajasthan CM by those who rebelled against the Gehlot government in July 2020.

The pressure from Ashok Gehlot loyalists came after Rahul Gandhi insisted on the one man one post maxim, which would force Mr Gehlot to resign as the Chief Minister. He is the front-runner for the post of the party's national president. Rajdeep Sardesai decodes.
