New Farm Bills 2020: Why Are Farmers Protesting in India?

Thousands of farmers in Punjab, Haryana, Telangana and several other states are on the roads to protest against 3 farm ordinances which were passed in the Lok Sabha by the Centra govt. The Rajya Sabha has passed the 2 Agriculture reform bills against the previous ordinances & one bill is still under discussion. These bills will replace the existing ordinances once it is approved by Rajya Sabha. Let us tell you what are these ordinances that farmers are protesting against: Farmers' Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Ordinance, 2020, The Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Ordinance, 2020 & The Essential Commodities (Amendment) Ordinance, 2020.
