Manipur victim's husband, a Kargil war veteran: How Internet shutdowns in Manipur infringe on human rights

Victim's husband from the Manipur video fought in the Kargil war. The horrific video from Manipur took more than 70 days to emerge. But why? Because the internet services have been suspended for more than two months in the north-eastern state.  Now, Manipur has lifted the ban on broadband internet, but mobile data still remains suspended throughout the state of Manipur.

One must note how the incident was sparked by the circulation of fake news, prompting civil society to ask if the internet shutdown is working in the state? I spoke to Tanmay Singh from Internet freedom foundation to find out.
