Ayushmann Khurrana Opens About Being an Outsider in Bollywood

Ayushmann Khurrana turned 36th birthday today. Here’s a throwback video of the actor from India Today’s Mind Rocks in 2017 in which the actor spoke about being an outsider in Bollywood. Ayushmann said, “I'm blessed that I'm an outsider. In childhood, I used to stand in queues and buy movie tickets in black. That is something only an outsider can experience. Even now, I watch films and listen to scripts like an ordinary person. Nepotism exists everywhere, not just our industry. Eventually, the only talent survives. All the star kids who are doing well, they are doing well only because they are talented. Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor... all of them are talented. Not because of their tag.”
