All you need to know about Patanjali's Coronil

While the world is ardently working on finding the cure of Coronavirus, in India Ayurvedic products giant Patanjali launched a new drug, Coronil which, the company claimed, is an evidence-based medicine for the treatment of Covid-19. Swami Ramdev, the yoga guru, unveiled the medicine at a press conference at Patanjali's headquarters in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. Baba Ramdev specifically mentioned that Coronanil is not an immunity booster but a cure.

The research was undertaken by a joint team of the Patanjali Research Institute (PRI) and the National Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), Jaipur & the product has been manufactured by Divya Pharmacy. AYUSH Ministry has also asked Patanjali to submit details of the medicine such as name and composition, research study details, Institutional Ethics Committee clearance, CTRI registration, and result data.

The government has asked Patanjali to refrain from advertising the medicine kit as Covid-19 cure till the claims are duly examined. Watch the whole story.
