In a 28-year-old case related to the murder of a Catholic nun in Kottayam, a CBI court in Thiruvananthapuram found two accused -- priest Thomas Kottoor and nun Sister Sefy guilty. The duo has been served life-sentence in the longest-running investigation. During the course of the investigation, the role of Raju aka Adaykka Raju, became crucial. Raju, a self-proclaimed thief at that time, was present at the convent when the crime was committed. Investigation teams suggested that Raju entered the premise of the convent to steal something. While inside, he saw the accused committing the murder. 28-years down the line, as the court convicts the key accused, Raju says he is happy and fulfilled by the outcome of the case. The state police had initially concluded the 19-year-old nun Sister Abhaya, a student of Kottayam's BCM College, and a member of the Knanaya Catholic community died by suicide on March 27, 1992.
