My Take: NRC must not become a bogie for targeting a community

The NRC has come as a godsend for the BJP in its attempt to make the build up to the 2019 elections about the politics of fear, divide and rule. Mamata Banerjee may have already fallen into a trap by suggesting a 'civil war' would break out if the NRC was implemented. BJP now has another chance to paint her as pro-Muslims playing vote-bank politics.
