A filmmaker, lyricist, storyteller, and poet, Gulzar ( Sampooran Singh Kalra), is one of the great prodigies India ever produced. Gulzar was awarded Padma Bhushan in 2004 and the Sahitya Akademi Award in 2002. He has won a number of National Film Awards and Filmfare Awards.
