Sridevi dies of cardiac arrest at 54

Legendary actress Sridevi died at the age 54 after suffering a cardiac arrest. The actress breathed her last in Dubai, where she had flown to attend her nephew Mohit Marwah's wedding. A powerhouse of talent, Sridevi had made a mark for herself across genres, from comedy to romance to drama.

Known for films like Chaalbaaz, Chandni, Mr India and Lamhe, she received the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian award, in 2013. Sridevi is survived by her husband Boney Kapoor, and daughters Janhvi and Khushi.
