Madhur Bhandarkar was amongst the other moviegoers who went for the first-day show of Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal'. The film released in theatres on December 1 and clashed with Vicky Kaushal's 'Sam Bahadur.' While talking about his experience, the director hailed Ranbir Kapoor's magical performance and said, "Absolutely brilliant film. Great performance by Ranbir Kapoor. The film is a complete entertainer. Great action, drama and especially regarding the family. I think people are just connecting with the film. In the multiplex also, I could see them whistling and shouting. I think I should have seen the film in a singleplex in Gaiety Galaxy. But, here also it's no less. I think the world created by Sandeep Reddy Vanga is also different. Ranbir Kapoor is completely magical."
