Smriti-Palaash were madly in love for 6 years: Actor who attended pre-wedding bash
Actor Nandish Sandhu, who attended the pre-wedding celebrations of Palaash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana, described the couple as 'madly in love' in the years leading up to the called-off ceremony, while providing insight into the events that unfolded.

Actor Nandish Sandhu, who attended the pre-wedding festivities of Palaash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana in Sangli, Maharashtra, shared his perspective after their wedding was cancelled a day before the planned event in November 2025. Sandhu was one of the guests at the celebrations, and he later spoke to the media as speculation and allegations emerged around the last-minute cancellation.
According to Sandhu, the reason given to guests and the media for the postponement was a medical emergency involving Smriti Mandhana's father. "It's postponed because what came out in the news, the same thing was there. Conveyed to you guys. Conveyed to everybody. Smriti's dad wasn't well. He was in the hospital. And that's why everything has been postponed," he told Miss Malini.
Sandhu declined to comment on the infidelity allegations against Palaash Muchhal, saying, "It's better not to say anything on that right now. And let Palash speak from his side."
Reflecting on the aftermath, Sandhu said he learned about the cheating allegations only through media reports. "Later on, I got to know through the news and media that this is what has been printed and this is happening. And I feel bad about it," he said.
Speaking about the relationship between Mandhana and Muchhal, Sandhu recalled witnessing their affection and closeness. "Whatever the reason might have been, the wedding didn't happen. And you know, I've seen the love. I've seen how madly they were in love for the last five, six years. They were such a cute, nice couple," he shared.
A few weeks ago, Mandhana's childhood friend Vidnyan Mane made serious allegations against Muchhal, telling Hindustan Times, "I was at the wedding celebrations (November, 23, 2025) when he was caught red-handed with another woman in bed. Bhayanak scene tha, he was beaten up by the Indian female cricketers. The entire family is chindi chor. I thought he'd get married and settle in Sangli, but it has completely backfired on me." He also filed a complaint against Muchhal accusing him of duping him of Rs 40 lakh.
Following the public allegations, Palaash Muchhal commented on the difficult period for both families. He said, "I think the families have been through a very, very tough time, and I would just want to repeat that we would like to believe in positivity in this time and spread positivity as much as we can. And stay strong... yeah."
Since the cancelled wedding, Palaash Muchhal has kept a low profile, making only a few public appearances. Meanwhile, Smriti Mandhana has continued her cricket commitments, leading Royal Challengers Bengaluru to its second title in the Women's Premier League 2026.
