Aamir Khan recently visited Arijit Singh's residence in Jiaganj, Murshidabad, West Bengal.

Actor Aamir Khan expressed gratitude to singer Arijit Singh for his contribution to the soundtrack of Ek Din. While praising Arijit, Aamir also mentioned about the time spent with his family at his home.

The Instagram handle of Aamir's production company, Aamir Khan Productions shared a picture with Arijit. In the photo, ths singer sits with his guitar, while engaged in a discussion with the Ek Din producer. The captioned read, "Thank you, Arijit, for bringing so much heart to the music of Ek Din (sic)."

The picture also had a message from Aamir which read, "Thank you Arijit, for lending your voice to our film Ek Din. The four days spent with you, your family and your team felt magical. Love, a...(sic)."

Ek Din features actors Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi in pivotal characters. The recently released eight-second teaser shows the on-screen couple on dates, travelling across hilly areas, embracing each other amid the snowy weather and a few visuals of them in tensed expressions. While Sai portrays Meera, the name of Junaid's character has not been revealed yet. The movie hints at old-school romance.

On Monday, Aamir was clicked visiting Arijit's residence in Jiaganj, Murshidabad, West Bengal. Aamir's visit soon sparked online speculation. While some fans assumed Aamir may have visited Jiaganj to discuss Arijit’s sudden decision to step away from playback singing, others believed the interaction could be related to a professional collaboration.

On January 27, Arijit Singh announced that he would no longer be taking on new playback singing assignments. In a heartfelt note, he wrote, "Hello. Happy New Year to all. I want to thank you all for giving me so much love all these years as listeners. I am happy to announce that I am not going to take any new assignments as a playback vocalist from now on. I am calling it quits. It was a wonderful journey.” He also reassured fans that he would honour all his existing commitments, adding, “So, you might get some releases this year."

Arijit's most recent playback release is Maatrubhumi from the film Battle Of Galwan.
