Mardaani 3 box office Day 8: Rani Mukerji's thriller inches towards 30 crore mark
Mardaani 3 continues its steady theatrical run, earning around Rs 1.75 crore on Day 8 and taking its total close to Rs 28.05 crore in India.

Rani Mukerji’s Mardaani 3 is witnessing a measured run at the box office as it enters its second week. The crime thriller added about Rs 1.75 crore on Day 8 (Friday) in India, taking its total earnings close to Rs 28.05 crore, according to the Sacnilk website. Though the pace has slowed compared to its opening week total of Rs 26.30 crore, the film continues to hold its ground, with the slight decline largely in line with typical weekday trends.
Overall, Hindi occupancy on Friday stood at 11.63 percent, indicating that although some shows remained quiet, others saw a noticeable uptick. Morning shows recorded an occupancy of 6.58 percent, which gradually improved to 10.77 percent in the afternoon. The numbers rose further in the evening with 11.58 percent occupancy, while night shows registered the highest attendance at 17.60 percent, reflecting stronger late-day turnout.
Mardaani 3 posted a lacklustre first-week total of Rs 26.55 crore. It performed slightly better than the original Mardaani, which earned Rs 23 crore in its first seven days. However, Mardaani 2 remains ahead, having collected Rs 28.05 crore during its opening week, thereby outperforming Rani Mukerji’s latest instalment so far.
Written by Aayush Gupta, the film follows SSP Shivani Shivaji Roy, played by Rani Mukerji, as she investigates the disappearance of ninety-three young girls over a span of three months. The cast also includes Janki Bodiwala and Mallika Prasad in pivotal roles.
Produced by Aditya Chopra, Mardaani 3 hit theatres last Friday. The franchise began with Mardaani in 2014, directed by Pradeep Sarkar, followed by Mardaani 2, helmed by Gopi Puthran.
