Dhurandhar box office Day 20: Ranveer's film set to cross Rs 1,000-crore globally

Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar has surpassed Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Animal (2023) and set new milestones at the global box office. The film has collected approximately Rs 935.75 crore nett worldwide.

Ranveer Singh-led spy action thriller Dhurandhar has achieved a significant milestone on its 20th day of release. The film has become the highest-grossing Indian A-rated film at the global box office. The film overtook the previous record held by Ranbir Kapoor's Animal (2023).

As per trade website Sacnilk, Dhurandhar collected approximately Rs 935.75 nett worldwide through its third Tuesday, surpassing Animal's total gross of Rs 915 crore. The film has quickly become a cultural phenomenon, drawing large audiences both domestically and internationally.

According to the figures shared by the makers, the film has amassed an estimated Rs 640.20 crore nett in 20 days in India. Its first week collection stood at Rs 218.00 crore nett, with another Rs 261.50 crore nett added in the second week. Notably, the film earned Rs 22.5 crore nett, Rs 34.25 crore nett, and Rs 38.5 crore nett on its most recent Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, respectively.

While collections saw a decline from Monday with Rs 19.70 crore nett, it bounced back on Tuesday and Wednesday by earning Rs 20.40 crore nett and Rs 20.90 crore respectively. This domestic total puts Dhurandhar close to surpassing the lifetime haul of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Beginning, which made Rs 650 crore nett worldwide in 2015.

The film’s overseas theatrical run has been particularly impressive. Dhurandhar became the first Indian movie of the year to surpass Rs 200 crore nett globally outside India.

Directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, the ensemble cast of Dhurandhar includes Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi.

A sequel, Dhurandhar 2, is scheduled for release on March 19, 2026, coinciding with Eid. While the first film followed an Indian spy infiltrating a Baloch gang in Pakistan, the sequel will expand its reach by releasing in all South Indian languages.

On the day of its release, the sequel will clash with Yash's Toxic and Adivi Sesh's Dacoit at the theatres.
