Woman IPS officer Aparna Kumar, who scaled South Pole, shares how she trained

Woman IPS and ITBP DIG Aparna Kumar, who recently scaled South Pole on January 13, 2019, spoke to India Today about the feat and how she trained for it. She said trained for several months and had to learn skiing.

She even suffered pneumonia just before mission but did not give up. A 2002 IPS batch officer has two young kids who she wants to be a role model for. She has already scaled 6/7 highest peaks including Mount Everest.
