Will ensure foolproof NRC in country: Amit Shah

Union Minister Amit Shah, in an exclusive interview to India Today TV, said the Assam NRC was according to the Supreme Court's directions. "In future, whenever the NRC is implemented in the country, it will be done on the basis of the experience we had in Assam. We will bring a leak-proof process of the NRC," he said.

On being asked if NRC is just a political weapon or has any benefit, Amit Shah said, "It was not done by us; it was according to the procedure of the SC." When asked if the NRC will be implemented in the country, the union minister said, "Yes, it will be implemented."
