Why Congress still matters in 2024? P Chidambaram answers at Conclave 2024

Congress party has seen all the ends of Indian politics right from winning 404 seats in the 1984 Lok Sabha elections to shrinking to just 52 seats in the 2019 general elections.

As the 2024 Lok Sabha polls near, the Congress seems to be losing relevance, favour and preference, even among the peer parties in the INDIA bloc.

However, former Finance Minister P Chidambaram on Friday said there shouldn't be any elections if the BJP's win is a 'done deal'.

He was speaking on the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and the growing support for the BJP at the India Today Conclave 2024.
