Watch: Water sprinkled on overheated transformers in UP's Moradabad amid heatwave

After transformers in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad overheated due to the extreme heatwave, water was sprinkled on them in a bid to reduce the temperature.

According to power department officials, the temperature of the transformers should not go above 60-70 degrees Celsius, so they brought the temperature down to 50 degrees Celsius.

To ensure smooth power transmission, the electricity department has come up with this unique method.
