Thousands came to the Dehradun home of Major Vibhuti Shankar Dhoundiyal on Tuesday to pay their last respects to the Army officer, who died fighting terrorists in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir.

Major Vibhuti Shankar Dhoundiyal's wife looked quietly inside the coffin bearing the handsome, smiling photo of her late husband, Major VS Dhoundiyal, blew him a kiss, and bent over to tell him, "I love you."
