Watch: PM Modi flags off Shinkun La Tunnel project on 25th Kargil Vijay Diwas

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday virtually carried out the first blast of the Shinkun La Tunnel project in Dras. The Shinkun La Tunnel Project consists of a 4.1 km long Twin-Tube tunnel. 

The tunnel will be constructed at an altitude of 15,800 feet on the Nimu–Padum–Darcha Road to provide greated connectivity to Leh, Ladakh. The Shinkun La Tunnel will be the world's highest upon completion.

Earlier, PM Modi paid tribute to the heroes of the Kargil War on the 25th Vijay Diwas.
