In a historic event ahead of Aero India 2025, Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh and Chief of the Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi conducted a joint sortie in the indigenous Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas at Yelahanka Air Force Station in Bengaluru.
This marks the first time that two service chiefs have flown together in the same aircraft. The 45-minute sortie served as a significant prelude to Aero India 2025, highlighting India's advancing defence capabilities and military modernisation.
Calling it the best experience of his life, Army Chief General Dwivedi expressed his admiration for Air Chief Marshal Singh. "It was the best moment of my life, and as you know, the Air Chief Marshal is my course mate. From today onwards, I consider him my guru because he made me perform multiple manoeuvres and other activities while in the sky," he said.
