Waqf Bill will lead to social fabric being weakened: Asaduddin Owaisi

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi criticised the proposed Waqf Bill, stating it violates Article 26 of the Constitution. He argued the bill interferes with Muslim management of religious affairs, allows non-Muslim appointments to Waqf boards, and gives excessive powers to government officials. Owaisi claimed the bill will weaken India's social fabric and create more Hindu-Muslim divisions. He questioned the government's motives and transparency in implementing the bill.
