Video: Vehicles charred, building flattened in powerful blast at J&K police station

A suspected accidental explosion at Jammu and Kashmir’s Nowgam police station late Friday night killed eight people and injured 27 others while officials were extracting samples from a large cache of explosives seized in the ongoing ‘white-collar’ terror module probe. Officials are also examining a possible terror angle after a shadow outfit of the Jaish-e-Mohammed claimed responsibility for triggering the IED blast. Visuals from the site showed the aftermath of the explosion, with several cars gutted and parts of the building reduced to rubble.
