Several opposition leaders, including Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MP Danish Ali, left the Parliament Ethics Committee meeting on Thursday. Moitra was present before Lok Sabha's ethics panel regarding the 'cash for query' allegation against her.
A video showed Moitra, who faced bribery accusations from BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, stating that she was subjected to inappropriate questioning by the ethics panel.
Congress MP N. Uttam Kumar Reddy remarked, "We deemed the queries from the Lok Sabha Ethics Committee chairperson to Mahua Moitra as lacking in dignity and ethical standards."
